GORE WARNING.

The halls were filled with raucous laughs and honking, and the floor and walls decorated in fine wine - violet blood.

The Orphaner lay dead, mere feet away from the club that had battered him, and the subjugglator that so proudly wielded the bloodied weapon.

He was not supposed to awaken from this slumber. But something shook him at the last moment, and brought him to his feet - conscious, and alive.

The Orphaner found himself delirious and blind - confused at the pool of his violet blood flooding out beneath him. With only one fin left he managed to hear their shrieking, shrill cackles echo around and drown out his ear-piercing tinnitus.

He had to get out of here, if he wanted to survive.

A stroke of luck on Dualscar's behalf, like a kiss from the Marquise herself- for their backs were turned on his body, and they did not care nearly enough to go searching. No one cared about Ampora enough. And his disappearance was almost immediately forgotten about. Though the truth still stood regardless.

You should never turn your back on the bodies.

He sauntered back to his island in shambles. A foolish plan had gone wrong. His attempt to sabotage an ex lover almost having resulted in his death- perhaps in another universe, he would not be alive to contemplate his fumble. With a horn, a fin, and an eye missing- his dignity was almost completely shattered along with it.

Everyone would proclaim what they believed was his untimely death to the hivetops.

The great Orphaner is dead.

Dualscar caught an ugly glimpse of his reflection. What his inability to tell a mere joke had led to - him, the punchline.

He was tired of being ridiculed. He was tired of being laughed at. He was tired of being ignored.

Suddenly, his anger was no longer toward Mindfang, or the Grand Highblood at all.

His wrathful, desperate vengeance, much like a powerful rifle or heirloom, was poised at her majesty - his royal crush. The one who refused to acknowledge him despite every effort he made to please her - a lifetime of violence wasted under her order. Maybe it was the blunt force trauma to his head, or maybe it was a sudden snap caused by the universal anger that began to bleed through him like one final, gutturally amplified curse word shaking the galaxy itself.

But he decided enough was enough.

Her Imperial Condesce would learn his name, one way or another.
